We enjoyed our stay at this place. It’s only a 15-minute drive to Durango, making it very convenient for the activities we had planned. Anna was very cooperative and helpful throughout our stay.
One recommendation: it would be great to have the house free of flies. I think the wood construction might attract them, but overall, it was a great experience.

The location of this amazing mountain home is just stunning! The views of the snow-capped peaks out back were such a pretty addition. The home itself is beyond amazing. Seeing it in pics is awesome, but in person even more so. It felt like a fancy mountain LODGE. And we felt so lucky to have stayed in this beautiful home. The deer frequented often and we even got to experience 2 sets of twins born to their mama deer right outside the kitchen windows. Flowers, birds, deer, fox.....nature's delight. The home very nicely presented. All amenities great. Pool table a nice addition. And the atrium a nice meeting place to catchup on the days of fun. Location of the home to Mesa Verde, the Durango train, Bisti Badlands....all within a short drive. Love the drive in to the property. Just as we had imagined and even more!! Highly recommend for large families. Spacious. I rate this as a 10++++

This was a great house for us. Plenty of beds and the view of the mountains from the deck was spectacular. The kitchen is huge with 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers, two refrigerators and a gas grill on the second deck. Upon arrival I discovered that the propane tank ro the grill was empty. I emailed the management company and they had it promply replaced. The property is approximately a 15 minute drive to downtown Durango, so you will need your own transportation if you stay here. I would definitely stay here again.

We also enjoyed the short hike to the river right on the property. Downtown Durango was just a 15-20 min drive. It was a great central hub fur all our adventures!

This home was perfect. Reserving the house was easy and all the amenities were there we had such a relaxing time we hated to leave. The rental place kept us in contact and as the date got closer we had all the details and codes and even a name and phone number of the person we could contact for assistance.
The location was not bad only 11 miles from Durango. Made it easy.
The home has a nice a double deck in the back of the home where we had breakfast relaxed in the cool weather.
We know where to go for the next time we want to stay in Colorado.
Enjoyed the home very much.

The house is absolutely beautiful the pictures online don't do justice, because its even more impressive in person. My party of 11 was fed and entertained for nearly 4 whole days with the amenities provided and we wouldn't ask for anything different. The surrounding land is so beautiful as we took many walks and explored the creek and everything. I just want to say thank you so much for making our stay the absolute best. You guys went above and beyond with what we needed in making our experience absolutely the best. This vacation home is amazing. Lovely, cozy, comfortable. The 2+ story atrium fills the house with natural light. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms !! And the kitchen is wonderful. Kitchens are supposed to be the heart-center of the household, right? This well-appointed kitchen with its oversized center island is the perfect gathering space for the family. The views of the LaPlata mountains and canyon are magnificent.

We had a family wedding close by in Durango and this was the perfect house to retreat too!! There were lots of rooms and bathrooms to accommodate our big group. The kitchen is amazing...we had lots of cooks at the same time and there was plenty of room for everyone. Loved the property it’s so beautiful. This cabin is a beautiful retreat. We loved the layout and space it gave our family. The area is scenic and remote. It is probably 20 mins outside downtown Durango, so there is a bit of a drive into town, but we didn't mind because we liked the remote location. The walk down to the river was a little steep, but short. Kids aged 4-12 got up and down it without any problems. Everything was in good shape and the kitchen was well stocked. We had 13 family members staying with us this past July 4th week. The house is amazing, lots of room for everyone. The atrium is wonderful, we watched a beautiful lightning storm one night. On July 4th, we had our family reunion over for a roasted turkey dinner. With the outside patios included we were able to comfortably seat 29 people. The location of this property is perfect as we have relatives that live right next door. The caretaker even mowed a path for us to use between the properties.

This is a great house in a great location. Located within the San Juan National Forest with easy access to Durango and Mesa Verde. Premier Vacation Rental was very accommodating when the house we originally rented was suddenly located within the pre-evacuation area of the 416 Forest Fire. Premier allowed us to switch houses without any hassle. We actually think this worked out for the better. Our extended family of 10 wants to return to this house for future gatherings. Everyone had a great time.

I've been meaning to fill this thing out since we got back at the end of September but never quite got around to it until now.

This place was great and so was the management. It was clean, spacious, perfectly located right outside of Durango and down the road from Purgatory. Perfect location for Mountain biking, fly fishing, hiking, etc - all of which was done while we were there. Every part of this house, from the front porch to the fire pit out back was exactly what we needed and more than we thought we'd get. It was a great experience and hope to do it again this year. This lovely, spacious home was perfect for our family group of 12. The home was exactly as pictured and described. The location with mountain views and a beautiful walk into LaPlata Canyon on a quiet road with visiting deer and fox was exquisite. Our family loved the atrium, the decks, and the roomy kitchen where we all gathered around the large island and long table for meals and games. The home was clean with a well-equipped new kitchen (2 dishwashers!) and comfortable bedding and linens. The kids in our group enjoyed the pool table and darts in the basement, too. We were an easy drive into Durango and close to Mesa Verde. Bryan, property manager, was helpful and responded quickly when we had a question. Keith, listing agent, was efficient and helpful also.

Our family of 13 (10 adults, 3 children) stayed here for a week in July. The house is nestled in a partly forested area about a 20 minute drive from Durango, secluded enough that we were visited by deer and a rather friendly fox every day. Even though temps reached 90 in town the temperature at the cabin was usually several degrees cooler, keeping it comfortable day and night. The house itself is fabulous, with more than enough space for a family our size; the kitchen is huge and well-equipped - we could seat all 13 of us comfortably at the table! The front room with it's wall of floor to ceiling windows is gorgeous, and every bedroom and bath is immaculate. We also enjoyed the lovely two-level deck, plus we had plenty of room in the front to play outdoor games in the evening. The property manager, Brian, is extremely friendly and helpful. This place is perfect for a large family or multiple families.

I can't imagine a more beautiful location. We enjoyed morning walks into La Plata Canyon. The house was even more spacious than the pictures showed it to be. We were not crowded at all (6 adults and 9 kids). The kitchen has two of everything, so there is plenty of room to fix large meals. The hike down to the river is quite steep, so I recommend going up into the canyon to one of the campgrounds to play in the river. I hope we will be able to visit again!

My family had always dreamed of a white Christmas together...and this year all 15 of us had our dream come true! It snowed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the day after..and we were all together in a beautiful cabin in Hesperus, Colorado. The cabin was spacious and very attractive. We had more than enough room inside & outside. The only problems we had were that the heating system for the whole cabin was intermittent at best. The pilot light went out at least once daily, and we would come back to a cold cabin after going on an excursion. When it went out in the nighttime, it would be unbearably cold in the bedrooms until we got it up again (the temperature got down to 9 with a wind chill of -12)! The handy man was very helpful to show us how to reset the pilot light and use the wood stove. However, when we arrived, there was a fly strip with dead flies on it in one of the upstairs bedrooms. As the week went on, we saw more and more flies (alive)in all the bedrooms & bathrooms upstairs. This was very disturbing & this problem needs to be addressed quickly. The cabin was beautiful, the heat was dealt with per instructions, but the flies cannot be tolerated!

The pictures of this property are amazing, but wait until you are actually there! This home is so unique and accommodating! There is a magnificent solarium that is perfect for hanging out and drinking your morning coffee, or sipping cocktails at night. Every room upstairs has a loft, which is a childs dream come true! The kitchen is to die for...and the views are stunning! We will definitely be back! If the owners ever want to sell, please let us know!
