This 2nd-story vacation home, coined Laughing Magpie, features floor-to-ceiling windows, providing tons of natural light and spectacular views of the surrounding peaks, with a gas fireplace, and a deck outfitted with a gas grill that is perfect for cooking on while enjoying the scenery.
Laughing Magpie has all new kitchen appliances (it does not have a dishwasher), a full bathroom remodel was completed in December 2022. Although this unit does not have a dedicated washer and dryer, there is coin-operated guest laundry room in the complex common area on the lower level of this building.
Guest =s are welcome to park up to two vehicles in front of this vacation home. Trailers and RV's are not allowed to park in front of the complex. There is complimentary trailer and RV parking at the west end of 9th Ave.

Ouray, Colorado, nestled at 7,800 feet, offers year-round outdoor activities and has everything you could want during your Colorado mountain vacation any time of year! In the spring, summer, and fall months visitors enjoy exploring, riding ATVs, hiking, biking, rock climbing, horseback riding excursions, and fishing. You'll love the summer music series in Ouray's Fellin Park! In the winter months bring your snowshoes, ice climbing gear, or Nordic skis and enjoy downhill skiing in Telluride, a scenic 60-minute drive from Ouray! Ice climbing at the world-famous Ouray Ice Park boasts more than 150 named ice and mixed climbs, spanning almost 2 miles of the Uncompahgre Gorge. After a day of adventure enjoy a variety of great local restaurants, breweries, distilleries, live entertainment venues, and the ever-popular Ouray Hot Springs.
Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.
Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days before the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.
