This home was perfect for our weekend ski trip. It was in the perfect location to quickly access the mountain (we could see the Columbine lift across the street from the window) and the on demand shuttle service was great if we didn’t want to walk across the road. The home itself was clean, comfortable, and roomy enough for our group. I would absolutely stay again.

This townhome was perfectly located and equipped with everything that you need. The heated garage was a bonus (and very nice when freezing outside)! It is along Hwy 550 but the road noise did not bother us at all. The fireplace was not working and maintenance showed up within an hour and had it working. I would definitely stay here again.

Great property directly across from Purgatory and very easy to access. Property was clean, comfortable, nicely furnished. Two garages, heated, was very helpful. Just as great was working with Durango Premier Vacation rentals. They were super helpful and responsive. Andy and the team are great.

This was out first stay at Purgatory and we really enjoyed the location being half way to Durango & Silverton.

The home has everything that you would need with plenty of space, we had 4 adults and a child.

There is a hiking trail, community lake, and park area within walking distance.

We would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay! Location was excellent and we loved the call on demand ski service. They didn’t waste anytime picking us up when we called. The condo was clean and bigger than we expected. Very accommodating for the entire family. We loved the heated garage and ping pong table. Other reviews mentioned traffic noise....we never noticed the traffic noise. This is a great place to stay!!

My friends and I had a lovely time at this property. It was within walking distance of a gorgeous unmissable hike, and easily accessible to downtown Durango (about 25 minutes drive). The property was close to a loud road, but the windows and doors made it very soundproof. The wifi was a bit spotty, so I would use caution if planning to work from home here. The pool had a gorgeous view of the mountains, and was family friendly (read: lots of children!). It was clean, well-appointed, comfortable, and the master bedroom was very private. I would certainly recommend!

We absolutely love this house! It was spotless and so beautifully furnished! My kids loved the ping-pong table and walking to the nearby pond. Be sure and bring your small rafts to take advantage of the water! All basic essentials were provided. You will live the views and have no regrets staying here! Can’t wait to book our next trip! Our stay was wonderful. The property was very clean well appointed with nice finishes and everything you need to cook in the kitchen. We even grilled a couple nights. The location is directly across from the entrance of Purgatory and we enjoyed the member access to the pool and gym. The kids had a blast at their summer activites. We bought a day pass to all the attractions, and we were pleased to find out it included water activities (kayaks, SUP, and paddle boats) at the base lake near our place. We were about 30 minutes to explore downtown. We daytripped to Mesa Verde National Park and took the train to Silverton. Next time, we plan to check out Ouray too. Erica, with teh property manager, communicated quickly when I had a question and was very lovely. Gorgeous location and we would love to stay here again on another vacay.I highly recommend!!

The Townhouse was wonderful. It was clean. The rooms were large and spacious. The master bed was very, very comfortable. It was fun having the ping pong table in the garage. The family loved that extra bonus. We called maintenance on a kitchen cabinet door that had a screw come lose and they fixed it the next day. I would add a griddle to the kitchen and provide more dishwashing soap and Lemi shine, as we ran out. Minor things and we would definitely go back.

Great place to stay in beautiful Durango, right by the ski area! As such it is a bit far from town but not a problem for us since we wanted to be close to the forest. Great rooms, baths, furniture and a ping pong table. Would definitely stay here again.
Only very minor downside was the refrigerator did not have a working filter to get water from BUT they did have a pitcher with filter to use.

Great condo, great location. Access to the 2 car garage sold us on the property as we were there with 2 cars for a weekend car club event. Everything in the condo was in great shape. We had a few minor issues with cleanliness of some items but nothing terrible. Overall a great stay!

We are hoping the car club meets in Purgatory again next year, if they do we will definitely stay at Black Bear 86 again.

We stayed four nights over 4th of July weekend. The location is perfect, directly across the street from Durango Mountain Resort/Purgatory, half way between downtown Durango and Silverton. There is a trail head and a great lake for catch and release fishing in the direct vicinity of the property. We had no problems with the property, it was clean, nicely appointed, well taken care of, and the management was very quick to answer any of our questions before our trip. The only reason why I gave it a 4, overall, was that it was a little close to the highway. This in itself was not an issue during the day as we were constantly on the go and at night the traffic on that section of the highway is very minimal and was not noticed thru the night. There are a lot of great things to do in the area, we highly recommend this unit for a vacation getaway.

This was a perfect place to stay for our ski vacation. The property was accurately described and was very clean and well maintained. The on demand Ski Shuttle worked flawlessly, our longest wait time was about 3 minutes. We were free to make our plans and not have to worry about a long wait to get to the slopes or back to Black Bear which is just across the highway from Purgatory. We felt right at home and really enjoyed our vacation staying here. The only suggestion I would have is maybe to have more than one television and at least one bluray or dvd player for movies after a long day skiing. They did have a good channel selection on the television and Wi-Fi so overall very good. I would highly recommend this property.

My family and my brother's family stayed in this beautiful townhouse for the 4th of July weekend. The townhouse is about equal distance between Durango and Silverton. Across the street is the Purgatory Lodge which provides shops, restaurants,swimming and rides for the kids. The surrounding mountains are beautiful. We were short on a few supplies and had a maintenance issue but the management company addressed these issues quickly. We had a great time!

Great townhome! Immaculate, spacious, nicely furnished, beautiful kitchen and bathrooms. The shuttle to/from the slopes was very convenient, easy enough to have lunch at the unit each day. Aspen trees were almost at peak, property was as described, well maintained, clean, property is directly across from Durango ski resort, Sow's Ear resturant just down hiway toward Durango. Hiway traffic noise was present but tolerable, livingroom funiture was dated but functional. Bedrooms were very comfortable & well stocked with linens, would recommend this property to others.

Black Bear 86 is excellent town home. Clean, beautiful and very functional. It has it's own style and a lot of features of a custom home designed and built with a great taste and sense of balance. You would not believe that it is rental. Also have to mention that it is close to trails and sky resort is across the road. Driving to Durango takes 20 min at the most. Overall I would like to go back and rent this unit again in winter or summer when available. Thank you so much for this wonderful week we spent in Colorado.
