Cozy Cabin - Beautiful Views of the Surrounding Peaks - Hot Tub STR2024-010

I love this place! My family and I stayed here this past weekend as an affordable option while skiing in Telluride. It's just a beautiful, easy, one-hour drive.
The view is absolutely stunning with sunrises and sunsets looking out towards the Sneffels Range. And after a long day on the slopes, the hot tub was perfect.
My morning coffee on the deck while I contemplated how lucky I am... What an amazing reset.
The cabin itself is very nice, with a cool cantilevered stairs that gives the living area quite a bit more room.

As always with VRC, it was super clean and had everything we needed. Thanks for being a brand I can trust.

As someone who ALWAYS stays in Ouray, i decided to get out of town, and Was SOOOOOOOO Happy i did !!!! This place is AMAZING... The owner is AWESOME, and There is NO better view from the deck than THIS .. I CANNOT give this enough praise ...And the property management company is 5 STARS..NOTHING in Ouray even comes Close to THIS...

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Catamount Cabin. The view of the mountains and valley are beautiful - especially from the hot tub. We saw deer every day and watched the chipmunks darting around the house. We enjoyed the privacy and peace/quiet of this fairly secluded cabin. We were centrally located to get to Ouray, Teeluride and the Black Canyon. The property management company was very responsive when needed. Would definitely stay here again if we visit again.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Catamount Cabin; each time has been with the intent to take one of our grandchildren to see the Mountains when they are approximately age 11. Every time, we stay here our grandkids dont want to leave and this time was no different. Introducing them to the Rockies and specifically this area has had a lasting impact, and all have wanted to stay longer! The area of Ridgeway/Ouray/Silverton is a great base camp to numerous hiking trails, off road adventures, and amazing shopping and dining!...and we will definitely stay here again in the future! VRC has always been exceedingly helpful when arranging our trip and I have the upmost confidence in them. Thanks again VRC!

We stayed here in late May. Road was easily accessible, no snow which was nice. Kitchen was very well stocked with dishes and cooking supplies. They provided us with plenty of towels and toiletries as well as personal hygiene supplies. Beds were comfortable. We stayed here while exploring Black Canyon of the Gunnison. It's a bit of a drive but manageable. We also explored the Million dollar highway while here between Ouray and Silverton and this location was fairly close for traveling that particular stretch of road. Would stay here again if we were to return to the area. Located less than 40 minutes from Telluride as well.

I really enjoyed my stay at this cute little cabin. I loved the views, the hot tub, shower with a view, quaint kitchen and cozy bedroom. The cabin had everything I needed - towels, soaps, pots/pans, seasonings, etc. I would definitely stay again!

We rented this cabin for 5 nights in July 2023. Great outdoor spaces, deck and hot tub with views of the San Juans and the Milky Way! We actually saw a flaming meteor fall to earth one night. It's up the hill a ways and very private. It's just right for a small group. There were 3 of us, including my husband, 20 year old son and me. The only negative is the need to walk through one bedroom to get to the other and there's one shared shower, so I probably wouldn't rent this cabin with anyone other than close family members. But for us to escape the TX heat for a few days, it was perfect! We would rent again for our family.

This is the second time we have stayed at Catamount Cabin. Both times have been with one grandchild when they turn aproximately age 11. It is the perfect size for the 3 of us and has a view that is incomparable to any vacation rental we have every stayed in! The Ouray/Ridgeway area offers great hiking, shopping and offroad activities which brings us back to this area of Colorado frequently. The Property management company has always been very helpful and the owners have seen to most any need you might have. Amazingly, our grandkids have wanted to stay longer... the cabin being one of the main reasons! We intend to return in either the next year or soon thereafter!

This cabin was truly my favorite to stay in. The property was beautiful even covered in snow. The view was captivating and literally cannot be summed up in words. Never used a pellet stove but it added a cozy feeling to the place. The cabin was stocked with puzzles, board games, books, and many things to enjoy the stay. Thanks so much.

We've been coming to the Catamount cabin a couple of times now and since we've always come during Spring Break we decided to try late Fall/early Winter. As always, the experience was great. The cabin is small, cozy and picturesque. There literally is not a bad view from anywhere in the cabin. We spent the Thanksgiving week here and wished time would have slowed down so we could enjoy it more. Love that it is a short drive to Ridgway, Ouray, Montrose and of course Telluride. Mostly, we love being secluded, sitting on the deck and after a day of trekking around, soaking in the hot tub staring at the San Juan Mountains. The property is nice to roam around on and we enjoyed taking walks up and down the roads of the subdivision. Even through it much it snowed Thanksgiving Eve so we woke up to a nice dusting of snow on the property.

Can't wait to return and we're already planning a trip for Summer.

Great panoramic views of the area, close to Telluride and Ouray. Lots of elk seen near the cabin. Pellet stove kept the cabin cozy during big snow storm (42”) during our stay.

We loved this cabin. Quiet, yet not far from town if you want groceries or to eat out. People are nice in this area. Close to the million dollar highway loop. It’s a comfy cabin you could live in. It has everything you need. It has a great little library if you’re a reader. Our pup liked the freedom of walking around the cabin off leash. It was very clean to my standards...the other reviewer who said it wasn’t is probably OCD or can afford a full time house keeper. Anyway, we had a ton of fun exploring the area and soaking in the hot tub after long days hiking:)
