Updated Condo in the Main Plaza (Kendall Building) - Views | Vacation Rental Collective

Description

Our 1 bedroom, 1 bath condo (Unit 444) in the Kendall Mountain building offers the ultimate convenience in winter or summer as it is located in the heart of Purgatory Village only steps from the primary high-speed lift to the top of the mountain, the Purgatory Express.

The condo is located on a single level on the 4th floor (elevator access) of the Kendall Building and offers amazing views of the Needles Mountain Range.

Bed Configuration:

Master Bedroom - King with TV and Attached Bath (Main level)

Living Space - Queen Pullout Sofa

The Kendall building also features a hot tub on the roof with amazing views.

For an optional 4% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango Mountain Club which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub and workout facility. The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club. When booking, just advise if you would like the extra 4% resort fee added.

Please note, due to HOA regulations, this unit, and all of the units in the Kendall Building, are NOT pet friendly.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

Purgatory Vacation March 2025

Kendall 444 is the perfect unit for a solo traveler or a couple. The location can't be beat as far as in the building itself and within the village! The views of the San Juans from the unit are amazing and would definitely consider this a top option for returning to Purgatory again!

Very comfortable condo

This place was fantastic for a weekend getaway. The views of the needle mountains are unforgettable. The unit was very clean and had all of the amenities you could need. Access to the purgatory base area and the lifts are just a few steps away. The management company communication and service were fantastic. I will definitely be back and I will definitely use VRC for my vacation stays.

Beautiful Purgatory

Our stay was excellent!! This condo was perfect for our family of four. We had everything we needed. I would say to add a pair of scissors to the condo though. :) We were close to the village and had access to everything we needed. Skiing in and out was a real plus! We would definitely come back here again.

Great stay at Kendall 444

This was our 4th time to Purgatory, but 1st time staying at the Base and now we hope to make that a tradition. The unit was great for our family of 3. The kitchen was well stocked and worked well for our making 3 meals a day. Having a ski locker was an added bonus, that we loved. Also, the hot tub on the top of the Kendall building was great. Overall, loved the unit and location and will definitely book again.

Great Time

Great Ski Vacation

Great location. Walking distance to ski rentals and ski lifts. The hot tub was amazing and the lodge was very accommodating by bringing us new firewood daily. The pull out bed was not the most comfortable but I have kids who can sleep anywhere so it wasn’t too big of a deal.

Beautiful View

My husband and I decided to make a last minute trip to Purgatory without the kiddos. This condo was perfect. It was just a few steps to the lifts, a great size for the two of us, and had a magnificent view of the mountains.

Long weekene

The place was nice and clean. The only complaint was the rental place didn’t give the reservation to purgatory lodge to check in and I kept getting emails to make sure I checked out “promptly” at 10. Got a little annoying.

An awesome getaway in the beautiful mountains

Very cool little condo that's a perfect getaway for the family. Other people complained that it's too far from Durango, but I thought that's the point. Awesome amenities, great pool, multiple hot tubs and amazing views. Everything there to enjoy a weekend away.

Nice Condo

The condo was clean & well appointed. There r many hiking & biking trails in close proximity to the condo as well. If you want to go to Durango, plan on a 39 minute drive each way. But get some groceries & cook at the condo and enjoy the peace & quiet of summer at Purgatory Resort.
I would stay there again....

Great Get Away!!!!!

We spent five days at the condo in Purgatory. The condo was perfect, nice and clean. We liked that it had a kitchen and we were able to prepare meals instead of eating out all of the time. It was in a good location to Durango and other places of interest. We are already planning another trip back.

Great Place to Stay in the Durango Area

Kendall #444 is perfect for two people. The condo was clean and the East facing views of the Twilight Peak and Needle Mountain from our patio and living room window were amazing.

One of the chairs on the patio was broken and the property manager (Keith) offered to purchase another in Durango and drive 25 miles to bring it to us. Keith cared about making our stay as good as possible! I highly recommend this place and will be back next year.

Kendall 444 Purgatory Mountain Resort

We had a great experience at Kendall 444 located 1/2 way between Durango & Silverton. It is a very clean condo with a good view of the mountains. It is quiet and you don't hear your neighbors. The full-size bed was small and uncomfortable, but bearable. They need to provide more papergoods/laundry soap for guests staying 8 days. Overall, it was a positive and pleasant stay.

Thanks for your feedback. The bed in the Master bedroom is a Queen and its has a medium firm high quality mattresses and we intentially purchase these types of mattresses to appeal to a wider range of guests as we understand that guests have different mattress preferences.

Great Location

Fabulous location. Only a few steps to food and entertainment at Purgy's and pick up a pizza without leaving the building! Ski-in/ski-out one bedroom condo. Very comfortable for a couple- roomier than I expected. Good condition furniture and fixtures, except kitchen countertop. Just adequate kitchen gear, but functional for simple meals. Only reason we would not recommend to others is that the only WiFi is DMR Guest (slow, streaming video is blocked) and TV service is only free broadcast network channels (no ESPN!). Either one shortcoming or the other is manageable, but both leaves the indoor entertainment options very limited.

Thanks for your feedback. The condo has a basic cable TV (Dish TV) which has the basic channels (including ESPN and others you typically find with a basic cable package). Please contact us if the standard channels are not available. In regards to WIFI, all properties at Durango Mountain Resort have WIFI provided by Durango Mountain Utilities. At this time, the speed is not adequate for streaming movies but is just fine for checking email and surfing the internet. We have replaced the kitchen counter-top.
