Our secluded forest home, with 1,400 square feet, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms, immerses travelers in the Arapahoe National Forest, where stunning views and wildlife flourish. Located just 45 minutes from Denver, this idyllic getaway provides easy access to many mountain towns and ski villages. Proximity to Idaho Springs, Georgetown, Silver Plume, Loveland Ski Area, Dillon Reservoir, and St. Mary's Glacier ensures diverse activities at your fingertips. Situated on Mill Creek with direct creek access and bordered by the Arapahoe National Forest on two sides, this retreat exudes seclusion and offers a sanctuary where wildlife thrives. Encounter the majesty of nature firsthand as foxes, moose, bears, elk, coyotes, and a variety of birds grace the surroundings.

Escape to our tranquil forest retreat; the interior boasts a thoughtfully designed layout. The main bedroom on the second level features a luxurious king-sized bed, while the second bedroom on the first level offers a comfortable queen-sized bed. Additionally, the main living space includes a convenient pull-out couch on the second level, ensuring ample space for relaxation.

Secluded Arapaho Forest Location

Beautiful secluded location. Home was exceptional. Enjoyed the stay immensely. The skylights and windows allow you enjoy the stars as you drift off to sleep at night and there is no need for interior lights during the day, even through a thunderstorm. Opened windows for cross breeze during heat of the day, which was exceptional, listening to the creek running along property. Didn't use the fireplace. Loved being able to park in garage. Beware of the possibility of elevation sickness the first day. Use the first floor bedroom, unless you don't mind sleeping in a bowl. Primary king bed has a definite roll to the middle vibe. Overall excellent visit. Will definitely stay again.

Creek side Cabin in Dumont

We absolutely loved our 6 night stay here. The property was just as it was described. Truly a beautiful setting. We enjoyed sitting outside on the deck and down by the creek. You can hear the water flowing by inside the cabin and it was so relaxing. We cooked on the gas grill and found the kitchen had every supply we needed. The wood burning stove was nice and plenty of wood was provided. The bed and linens were so comfortable. Plenty of towels and toiletries were available. We had no issue with internet service. Check in and check out was easy. Grocery shopping was nearby in Idaho Springs & Beau Jo’s was a great place for pizza. A walk around Georgetown lake was nice & visiting Cabin Creek brewing for a beer. Saint Mary’s Glacier was close & we saw plenty of moose. We also hiked Mount Flora & the North Tenmile Trail. There is so much to do right outside your doorstep. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here & hated to leave. Definitely plan to come back and stay here again!
