Access to the Pine River is by means of a short walk down a gently sloping hillside through pasture and woods. The King Ditch, a large man-made canal, used for downstream agricultural irrigation, is traversed by a bridge over the waterway. After crossing the bridge. guests are then very near the river's edge where there is a long stretch of wooded meadow and mixed shoreline of grass and river rock.
This is a fantastic section of river, where the sound of mountain waters may be a rapid roar, or a gentle cascade, depending on the seasonal water flow level. Catch and release fishing is excellent in several spots along the river. This is a perfect spot to hone one's fly-fishing skills. There are nice, flat areas for picnicking, lounging, short hikes in the river bottom and relaxing outdoor fun.

The main house is on this same property several hundred feet away, and the cabin serves as a separated guest house, with its own parking and good privacy. There is also a private riverside campsite that is part of this property, but is barely visible from this cabin. On occasion, you may encounter the homeowner or their guests, while enjoying this beautiful mountain river. The campsite is not available for guest use.
