The lakeside location is indeed very pleasant. The gently sloping gravel beach was excellent for our dog.
However, it seems this new-to-market unit has not yet been prepared for rental. Both the kitchen and the master bedroom had very little free storage available for our groceries and for our clothes. This deficiency made our stay dissatisfying for my wife. We also found the main living feeling cluttered with a large collection of art objects not to our taste.
The upper deck is pleasantly furnished. However, the lower deck is not, in that there are two large empty bed frames prominent on this deck.
The house was generally clean; however, the outside tables, particularly the table on the lower deck were not clean.

Dennis, Thank you for the detailed feedback — and I'm so glad the lakeside spot delivered, especially that gravel beach for your dog. That kind of detail actually helps other guests traveling with pets, so thank you for including it. The rest of what you described is fair, it sounds like it wasn't fully guest-ready when you staye due to limited closet and kitchen storage, a living room that felt more like a storage space for art than a place to relax, empty bed frames left out on the lower deck, an unclean outdoor table — none of that is what we want anyone unpacking groceries and clothes into for a week, especially when it made things harder for your wife. We regret that you found the home in this condition and clearly not up to VRC standards. I'm passing this along to the owner so it gets addressed — decluttering the living area, sorting out the storage situation, dealing with those bed frames, and making sure the outdoor furniture is actually cleaned between stays. I don't want to promise specific fixes here without confirming what's already in motion, but I'll follow up once I know more. The lower outdoor tables are more difficult to keep clean with weather as it blows in and out but definitely something our inspector should be prepared for and should have addressed for you. We are veterans at renting a lake place on Coeur d’Alene Lake. We have rented for the last 11 years. This year‘s rental was our favorite. This is a Home not a cabin. It is very well appointed and easy to get to from the South Hill only 46 minutes from our back door.

The king size bed in the master bedroom and the queen size bed in the downstairs bedroom were extremely comfortable. There are also three bunkbeds that are ideal for kids.

And this might be a first for us, but all the televisions worked. We were able to log into our own accounts using YouTube TV Netflix and every other app you might have. Offloading was simple. We were able to back our car right up to the porch and unload this is important for our aging selves.

The only con I could give it is that there were no chairs on the deck and the wind chair that was there had a side broken on it. I would recommend that the owners purchase for lightweight chairs that can be stored at the entry to the dock. Other than that this was a perfect stay. And we would clearly rent this again for a future stay. Communication with VRC was excellent.
