Our 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath, 3,000 square foot home is in one of Purgatory’s newest and most sought after neighborhoods is located just across highway 550 from Purgatory Resort and is 24 miles north of downtown Durango (less then a 30 minute drive).

Enjoy the convenience of being at the ski resort, yet the privacy and additional space of a house with a garage (one space available). The resort is both an amazing winter playground, and offers a wealth of all your favorite mountain activities in a cool and comfortable summer climate at 8,900 feet. For ease, there is a free on-demand shuttle to the ski resort in both winter and summer.

The home is adjacent to over a million acres of national forest land and backs one of the finest hiking trails in the area. Unlimited adventures await in the incomparable San Juan National Forest with walking access to three watersheds with abundant trout and extraordinary vistas of the Needles Mountains. The home is located near the Purgatory Flats trail head, one of the finest and most scenic hikes in the area as well as a pond for fishing, paddle boarding and a playground and in winter, there is a cross-country ski trail right out the front door.

The house features an amazing backyard with a hot tub, BBQ Grill, Gas Fire Pit, plenty of seating and awesome views of Engineer Mountain. This residence is finished with hardwoods, slate, stone, and granite surfaces, all of the mountain-modern high-end finishes you’d expect t the ski resort. The 4th bedroom also serves as the game room with a pool table and TV.

Bed Configuration:

Main Bedroom - King Bed with TV and Ensuite Bath (Main Floor)

2nd Master Bedroom - King with TV (2nd Floor)

3rd Bedroom - Queen with TV (2nd Floor)

4th Bedroom - 2 sets of Bunk Beds (single over Queen) (2nd Floor)

Book 7+ nights and a 10% discount is automatically applied. 4WD is NOT required in the winter (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

The home is not pet friendly - please do not bring your pets.

For an optional 4% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango Mountain Club which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub and workout facility. The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club.

Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding, etc) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours, etc) activities.

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer

travel insurance.

Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

Another great stay

This is our 4th or 5th time staying at this house. We love this house. It is spacious and comfortable, and the kitchen is well-appointed with pots, pans, coffee makers, toaster, crock pot, etc. The new beds are a significant improvement; and we love the on-demand shuttle to the ski area. The only suggestion I can make is to invest in an on-demand water heater. Given the size of the tubs, and the number of people the house accommodates, the hot water runs out very quickly. Minor suggestion that will not prevent us from renting this house again

Great Escape!

We had a wonderful time staying in our condo! We took our grandkids and there was plenty for them to do after a great day of skiing. The condo is equipped like being at home. The fireplace is the best! We loved it and will be back.

Perfect stay for a weekend on the mountain

We were here on a weekend that the mountain fully 2ft of snow. The shuttle to and from the mountain were awesome! It took maybe 5-10 minutes for them to arrive after contacting the service.

You can't ask for a better ending after a day on the slopes than a hot tub either.

We will definitely be coming back for our next trip to Purgatory!

Family had a great time

The setup worked well for our family of 10. Two rooms had the closets locked with no access which was a little odd. As others mentioned the construction did disrupt the peace somewhat and blocked our driveway access a few times. The view from the back was incredible and proximity to Purgatory was fantastic.

Absolutely gorgeous and comfortable

The house is gorgeous and well appointed. We loved the location and everything about the house. The hot tub was glorious!! It is not quite as private/secluded as it seems in the pictures, but it was still very quiet and private enough. It was only 30 minutes from Durango, an hour from Ice Lakes Basin Trail, and 90 minutes from Ouray.

Premier Vacation Rentals had amazing communication. They answered my email within 30 minutes and someone also texted me to confirm. My only suggestion is to have distinct summer vs. winter instructions. :)

Great rental with a great view!

This property was a great place for two families with kids to stay and hang out in the mountains. It is farther out of town than we thought, but the view is amazing. The rental was extremely clean and very well-stocked. The only problem we had was with the heat keeping up, but space heaters helped a bit. We hope to come back again!

Pictures do not do this place justice!

Excellent location for Jeepers and skiers/snowboarders. Immediately across from Purgatory Ski Resort and in-between Durango and Silverton.

Absolutely incredible views, beautiful home and even better customer service! Keith and his team knocked it out of the park for our Jeep Club that ventured up from Texas. Everyone was blown away by the beauty of the land, the million dollar views, the outdoor living areas, and the homes were absolutely stunning! We rented 3 of them in the same neighborhood and this one by far was the best! The master bedroom with the entrance to the outdoor living area is incredible and that BATHROOM - OMG!! Enough space easily for 10 adults without concern.

Fantastic home right above the Nordic course.

We had an amazing stay. The house is well equipped and very comfortable, it became our warm retreat after active days in the cold and snowy weather - 4 feet of fresh during our stay. We were able to walk around the corner and jump right on the Nordic course and is is a short walk or drive to the Alpine access. I highly recommend a stay here.

family reunion

Very nicely appointed. The kitchen was well equipped for most any culinary experience. Family members could lounge comfortably. Dining room table needs a resurface,.. and entry thru the garage is NOT upscale. Fix the garage door. Great view from the patio, would rent this again!!

Beautiful home

The house is absolutely beautiful, and it has one of the most well-stocked kitchens of any house we have rented. It comfortably accommodated 3 families - 6 adults and 5 kids ranging in age from 10 months to 12 yrs. The on-demand shuttle service was also reliable and excellent. The only drawback of this house are the beds and lack of closet use. All of the beds are terribly uncomfortable, which created many sleepless nights for all of the guests. That includes the sofa bed that continuously lost air in the air mattress. Other than that, the house is great and in a beautiful location.

Thanks for your feedback. We were very concerned to hear about the mattress since we have had numerous guests the past 6 months, none of which had any complaints about the mattresses. Additionally, the owners and their friends stay at the home frequently. Thanks to your feedback, we personally inspected each of the beds in the home and found the mattresses to be in great condition. We did note the mattresses are medium firmness (top of the line Sealy posturepedic) and if a very soft or hard mattress if preferred, they many not meet your expectations.
