Our 2,600 square foot, 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom townhome (Unit 11) is one of the few true ski in/ski out properties at Purgatory Resort built right on the slopes and just a short walk/ski to the main plaza.
The gourmet kitchen has granite counter tops and includes a bar with seating and opens to the main living space and dining area, giving you plenty of space to relax with family and friends. And the bunk bed room with 55' TV and XBox 360 is a great place for the kids to hang out. The master bedroom has a gas fireplace while the master bathroom has a jacuzzi tub. The townhome has a washer/dryer, high speed WIFI and an attached heated 2 car garage (tandem - with an additional spot in front) that has plenty of storage room for gear.

The townhome is not pet friendly - please do not bring pets or emotional support animas.
The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club. For an additional (and optional) 4% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango Mountain Club which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub and workout facility. When booking, just advise if you would like us to add the additional 4% resort fee.
Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).
Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.
Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

Family Fun

This house was by far our favorite so far. It was very accommodating for our group of 8 with even room to spare. The view was wonderful especially for my mother in-law that is 88. She could watch the lifts and skiers come down the mountain. Skiing right down to the porch to grab a quick lunch and right back out to the lift was a big hit. The kitchen had a variety of pots and pans and we cooked all of our meals. We will for sure be booking a stay here again.

Perfect place to stay!!!

We had family members from 2 to 77 and we all had a wonderful time in this ski in/ski out condo. It was perfect for those skiing. They skied while we stayed back and relaxed and played games. We had to make last minute wedding plans for our daughter due to Covid. Couldn’t ask for a more beautiful location. The house was nicely furnished and stocked. We had our small party of 18 over for a reception, and there was plenty of room. Master bedroom on third floor didn't cool down with no a/c, making nights a little uncomfortable. Otherwise, very pleased with stay.

Fantastic location! Our group loved the rental and would rent again. Property was well stocked with dishes, pans, and plenty of spices in the kitchen which was nice since we cooked every meal. Ice maker was broken, but they provided us a large bag of ice for our stay. The internet went done the third day, but the management company was very quick to solve the problem and get us back up and running!

We had a great time staying at Elkpoint #11 and we're actually shocked by how big it seemed. It easily fit our 12 guests and wasn't too bad when our friends who have a home in Durango came by to visit. We had a wonderful visit and Keith was great when we had a question about an old wine opener he dropped a new one off the very next morning.

Excellent trip!

Condo was amazing! No problems and all was as indicated on the VRBO site. The location is the best at Purg hands down, there is no better place on the mountain, and we have been going to Purg for 14 years. The appliances and TVs, etc were all top of the line and the condo wifi was 15x5 most days, although we had to reset it a few times. All in all, would definitely go back again no problem.

Excellent location
The location of this property is excellent and the service is prompt and friendly. I will likely say there again. Things to consider: the room with 4 bunks is on the bottom of 3 floors, so you will be a ways away from your children. The AC does not work very well and you'll want to open all the windows at night if staying on the 3rd floor. We had to restart the router a few times because with 3 families we likely exceeded the users on the network. Fully stocked kitchen and bar was great and the Yetti cups were a nice touch.

Air conditioning is very rare at 9,000 feet in altitude in Colorado with average temperatures that get down in the 50's at night and daytime temperatures that are rarely out of the low 80's, even in the middle of the summer. Great Family Getaway

This townhouse fit 11 of us perfectly (6 adults,5 children)! It was super to have a place for the children to go while the adults were in the family room! We were at the pool constantly and it was only a short walk away! Keith was so helpful..and when the WIFI didn't work, a very pleasant gentleman came over immediately to fix it!!
Enjoyed Our Time
Keith was very helpful and answered our questions quickly. The utensils at the house need to be replaced, carpet needs to be deep cleaned and our wifi was in and out on connection. Not every room has a DVD player, but Keith said he would bring more if needed. The location was great for getting out on the slopes, but wish the furniture and kitchen items had been cleaner looking for the price paid.

This home is due for a deep clean within a couple of weeks of the end of the season (April), though the issues you encounter are not excused by the seasonal timing of being able to get in and do more detailed and timely cleaning, including evaluating utensils, pots and pans etc. We have found that DVD players are going the way of VHS players for most of our guests since their devices hold most of their entertainment options and can easily be hooked up to high definition televisions. That said, we're always happy to accommodate our guests needs when we know them in advance and if at all possible if we're able during their stay. Thanks again for your review and your stay with us.

The property is located at the base of Durango Mountain Resort. Lots of beautiful scenery. Walking distance to Durango Mountain Resort activities. Hiking available close by. We saw a baby bear from our back porch. Kids loved it and adults did too. Two nights we got to sit on our back porch and enjoy the beautiful weather with the orchestra playing at the resort.

Incredible Location

We loved our stay at Elkpoint 11. The location was absolutely amazing. We loved the floor plan of the property; it was perfect for our family. We would have liked more towels and we only used the dishwasher a couple of times because it left a bad film on the dishes. However, overall our stay was excellent. We had a couple of issues that had to be fixed by the maintenance crew, but they were very helpful, prompt and courteous. We would definitely stay at this property again and highly recommend it.

This being our first visit to Durango, we were not sure what to expect. This is a great home to accommodate a large family. It was perfect location in the resort to all the amenities. Quick 2 minute walk to all! Home had everything we needed the owner Keith was very accommodating as well. He was quick to bring us 2 extra fans as being from Texas we are use to our AC's and this helped! The resort is a good drive from town around 30 minutes each way so if you are good with this, this is the best place to stay by far! Thanks for a great experience and would return for sure!

Doesn't get much better than this! The place was clean and ready to go upon arrival. Location is great. The lift is just outside the backdoor. Keith from DPVR was very helpful and a pleasure dealing with. I'm sure we'll be back in the future.

every thing was great, only the clean house was a little disapointed, i have little kids, and they drop down de bed a toy, but the find a condom insted, the kitchen accesories was not so clean and scratching, some light in the house ware out and the living room furniture was little old and dirty, Mr Keith was very professional, quickly and help us in every thing

Ski in / out at Purgatory - A great stay

We had our entire family staying with us on the slope at Purgatory. With 13 people, it was a wonderful place to be. I was able to sit my 93 year old father in front of the window by the fireplace to watch everyone come and go. Skiing was great and the weather cooperated. This is the place to stay while at Purgatory.

Wedding Weekend
all was great but cleaners were still cleaning when we arrived we had a early check in do to having to set up for my sons wedding rehearsal
and they did not clean well at all found mold in coffee pot and hair and dirt around bath room sink carpet was not vacuumed very good

Elkpoint Lodge
Our family enjoyed their stay at the Elkpoint Lodge. The kitchen was well equipped, there were many activities on site for the kids and we were close to Durango and other sites. Our deck faced the wildflower meadow and mountain which provided a great Laplace for morning coffee and a place to gather.
Colorado Family Vacation
My family (six adults/5 children) was extremely pleased with Elkpoint 11. The size, floor plan, and location was ideal for us. We would definitely rent it again and felt very much at home while staying there.

Can't Get Closer To The Mountain

AND have a beautiful luxury town home to boot! Its our second year to stay at Elkpoint 11, and again it was perfect. The location is a true ski in/out, right at foot of the mountain and only 100 yards from the village. We've stayed at vacation rentals all over Colorado for 25 years running...and you won't find a better location/luxury/ski in/out place anywhere.
