This home, located in the heart of downtown Ouray blocks from the Ouray Hot Springs pool, is all about its exceptional location. Located within walking distance of Ouray's fine restaurants, shops, and one-of-a-kind galleries, this location is unbeatable. The sunroom features a great Pac-Man game system for you to enjoy!
Bed Configuration:
Master Bedroom - Queen Bed (Main Level).
2nd Bedroom - Bunk Bed/ Single over Double (Main Level).
This property is pet friendly, and the pet is fee is $40/per day (max. $250) with a maximum of 2 dogs. The side and back yard are full fenced in.
Parking is available in the back for 2 cars. Main Street parking is available. No overnight parking 11/1 - 5/1.
ABOUT THE AREA
Nestled at nearly 7,800- Ouray, CO offers year-round outdoor activities and has everything you could want during your Colorado mountain vacation any time of year! In the spring, summer, and fall months visitors enjoy exploring, riding ATVs, hiking, biking, rock climbing, horseback riding excursions, and fishing. You'll love the summer music series in Ouray's Fellin Park or music in Ridgway's Park! In the winter months bring your snowshoes, ice climbing gear, or Nordic skis and enjoy downhill skiing in Telluride, a scenic 60-minute drive from Ouray and Ridgway! Ice climbing at the world-famous Ouray Ice Park boasts more than 150 named ice and mixed climbs, spanning almost 2 miles of the Uncompahgre Gorge. After a day of adventure enjoy a variety of great local restaurants, breweries, distilleries, live entertainment venues, and the ever-popular Ouray Hot Springs.
Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.
Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date forfeit the entire reservation amount. In contrast, cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days before the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

I absolutely love this place! It’s my third time here. Walk to everything in Ouray. Views from both the front and back porches are beautiful! The house is always Immaculate. The company that manages this property is houses amazing and has excellent communication. I hate to recommend this property because I don’t want it to be harder to get into (LOL) but you deserve to stay here..

Fantastic Stay
The "Cascade Cottage" was charming, clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. The house was just as described and pictured, and it was very well supplied. The front office nook and desk worked very well for remote work, and the sunroom at the back of the house was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the views. The back yard is fully fenced, and the private parking area made coming and going a breeze. Booking with VRC was easy, and they responded promptly to all of my questions. Information about check in and check out and details about the property were clearly communicated. My only suggestion would be to update the instructions about trash and recycle bin collection--it seems to be from the rear of the house versus from the curb on Main Street.
Overall, just a fantastic experience. I loved the ease of booking and service from VRC, and I loved the house and loved the town. Can't wait to come back!

Perfect stay
This house is in the perfect location for being able to just walk to shops and restaurants! The stay was very comfortable as the house it spotless and the beds are very comfortable. The backyard was perfect for our dog to run around in so she approved also!

The perfect mountain getaway!!

Cascade Cottage is the PERFECT mountain home to spend time in the cute town of Ouray, CO. My husband & I stayed here for a few days in August and it was the most wonderful, relaxing getaway! The home is literally on Main St. where you can walk to any & all shops, restaurants, hikes and even the Hot Springs which is just right across the baseball field & park area from the house. The view is spectacular!! The home had every single thing we could possibly need & more! Plenty of dishes, linens, a fan, coffee, washer/dryer with laundry supplies, beach towels, books, games, the list goes on & on. It was super clean & cozy. The management team was very communicative with instructions and was easy to communicate with should we need anything at all. It was a wonderful experience! Ouray was breathtaking so if you're ever looking to travel here, be sure to stay at the Cascade Cottage! You won't regret it!!

Nice spot in Ouray

Great house, roomy for 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Good yard if you have a dog. Location on Main St right next to the park and Hot Springs can’t be beat for people watching and for a 2 minute walk to downtown or to the perimeter trail. Well-appointed kitchen and plenty of towels, etc.

Very clean, and even though you are right in town, it felt very private and peaceful. We loved the history of the building and town. Stunning views, walking distance of all of the shops on Main Street. We would definitely stay again!!

Superb house, 100% walkable

Exceeded all expectations
Clean house. Warm inside. Great sound proofing- zero road noise, not that Ouray sees much traffic. Nice little mud room for after a day of ice climbing.
Great kitchen by rental standards. All necessary cook ware - plenty of cutting boards and stuff for home cooked meals.
Fantastic location- 5 min walk to hot springs, grocery store or down town restaurants. You could even walk to the ice park but we were lazy.
The towels for using at the hot springs are a plus.

Really enjoyed our stay! Very comfortable, loved the yard and how close it was to everything. Could walk everywhere which was wonderful! House was clean and had everything we needed. Even though it did not have AC we were able to keep the house a good temp following the owner suggestions. Would stay here again for sure!!

Great for Small Family
Two members of our group chose this place because it's pet friendly. House clean and well-supplied. Good info provided prior to arrival and on the premises. Large front yard helps buffer from the street. Great location with easy walk to shop, eat, or just enjoy the town. Highly recommend.

Great cozy home and superb location.

Great cozy home to come home to after a long day of hiking or off-roading. Great location and one block from large Ouray Park and Hot Springs. After arriving we only drove out vehicle once to the staging area for the RZR we had rented for the day. Could use a new mattress in the master bedroom but other than that it was really smooth and thoroughly enjoyed out stay.

Great house in ideal location.
We had a great time in Ouray and were very satisfied with the house. It was clean and had enough dishwashing soap,TP, laundry soap for several days. We made every meal at the house and the kitchen was equipped with enough items to make this possible. There is a grill that does not show up on the pictures or descriptions but does not seem to work well which was not an issue as we had our own small charcoal grill with us. The two parking spots in back were great and convenient. We would stay here again. .

Wedding in Ouray
Our daughter was married this past weekend! It was a perfect place for a few of our grooms men to stay. Very clean and accommodating.
