‘Our 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom single level cabin is on 1 acre and sits directly on the Florida River offering privacy and seclusion along with amazing fishing. The cabin is adjacent to BLM land offering even more river frontage to the west. There is also a small neighborhood lake just a short walk away that features a beach and more fishing as well as paddle boarding etc.
Its hard to believe the cabin is less then 15 minutes from historic downtown Durango.
The cabin has a fantastic covered deck next to the river and features all the standard amenities including WIFI, Cable TV, washer/dryer and nostalgic western memorabilia as well as amazing paintings the owner painted.
Bed Configuration:
Bedroom 1 - Queen with Ensuite Bath (main level)
Bedroom 2 - Queen (main Level)
Bedroom 3 - Double (main level)
Consistent with most Colorado mountain resorts, the cabin does not offer air-conditioning. Additionally, the cabin is not pet friendly, so please do not bring the furry friends.
Please note the the WIFI service, while reliable (thru Centurylink) averages 5mbs and is fine for email, surfing the internet but does not offer enough speed for streaming video (Zoom, movies etc.). Cell phone not work at the cabin but can be connected via WIFI calling. The cabin does have a home phone offering free local and long distance calling.
Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).
Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.
Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

Dream Escape
We had a great time at Between the Waters last week.
The property was exactly as described, even better - very clean , well stocked, very warm and inviting and the interior decor is a sight in and of itself! Great location to Durango and all the other sites in the area. If you're looking for a quiet escape, this is it - just sit out on the back porch and immerse yourself in the 24x7 sounds of the rolling Florida river just steps away. The property management was very attentive and responded quickly if needed. We had absolutely no issues with this unit and would love to return in the future.

Tough to beat the cabin location if you want some peace and solitude. The covered porch was nice when it rained.

Fantastic spot

Great space for a vacation in Durango. The home fit our party of 6 perfectly - my parents, partner and kids all enjoyed ourselves. They even had an angel food cake pan to celebrate my dad's birthday and they caught a fish in the stream!
