Our 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath, 1,800 square foot ski-in/ski-out townhome (Unit 30) is everything you would expect from a luxury townhome. The townhome features a main living space with a deck (gas grill) and great views. Each bedroom has is own bathroom as well as a TV. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances includes a bar with seating and opens to the great room & dining area, giving you plenty of space to relax and gather with family and friends.
There are two ski lifts within immediate walking distance from the front door of the townhome & access to the Nordic ski-area is also conveniently nearby. Hiking trails abound in the millions of acres of the pristine San Juan National Forest. Explore mountain biking, backpacking, fly-fishing, hiking, four-wheeling, and nearly every other imaginable high alpine recreational pursuit directly out the front door. Enjoy views of the incomparable Needles Mountain range from the spacious decks as you plan your adventures or simply take another sip of coffee.

Master Bedroom King with TV and Ensuite Bath (2nd floor - same level as main living space/kitchen)
2nd Master Bedroom -King with Ensuite Bath(Bottom floor)
3rd Bedroom- Bunk Bed with TV and Ensuite Bath(Single over Queen) (Bottom Floor),
This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs max and the pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay).
The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club. For an additional (and optional) 4% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango Mountain Club which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub and workout facility. When booking, just advise if you would like us to add the additional 4% resort fee.
Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).
Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.
Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

Nice, tidy home with great access to slopes and shuttle. Not noisy despite being close to road. Kitchen supplies low and dishes/glasses at bare minimum but adequate.

First timers Ski trip

The vacation home was just like the pictures. It was fully stocked with kitchen needs for cooking and eating. It was in the perfect place for us first time skiers located next to the bunny slopes. We could walk right out and practice at the end of day with no one around. The remote control fire places were wonderful. A great mudroom for all of your gear. Our family loved it.

Great condo in Purgatory!!
This was one of our very favorite places to stay!! You can’t beat the location. It is a perfect ski in and ski out place to to stay. Everything was clean and spotless including the kitchen and dishes. I can’t find one thing to complain about and that it rare. We will definitely be back!!

Staying a few steps from the Columbine/Ski School area was great for small kids that are learning to ski/snowboard.

This is a perfect family home for your vacation! The cleanliness was above and beyond! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need! Very comfortable beds and furniture with beautiful bedding! Each room has a TV and plenty of windows to enjoy the mountain breeze. Located on Purgatory Resort you are 20 minutes away from Durango or Silverton. We had a wonderful stay! Highly recommend! Also customer service is excellent! Ready to answer questions if needed.

14 DAY FAMILY PURGATORY GETAWAY

My family of 6 including two Granddaughters just returned from a 14 day vacation in the mountain town of Purgatory, CO. AlpenGlow 30 was just as advertised; just steps away from all the activities that make this mountain so attractive; Alpine Slide, Zip Lines, Alpine Coaster and several ski lifts. check in was quick and easy to facilitate a wonderfull two weeks. The townhome was well furnished , clean and well stocked for our stay. I had to talk with management just once during our stay and my requests were handled expeditiously. I would recommend this property for all family gatherings either winter or summer !!

We stayed in the area for our annual family vacation. Our kids are grown now so we started getting together once a year. The location and townhome was perfect for our needs. It was clean and roomy. The townhome was very nice. The biggest drawback was that its 30 minutes from Durango. But it was nice to get out of the hustle of the tourist town

Great Family Stay in the Summer

We had a great time! Very beautiful and clean. We had 6 adults and the condo had absolutely everything we needed to make breakfasts and dinners there are additional steps to take and fees to pay if you plan on using the hot tub and pool on the property. We wasted a lot of time trying to figure that out. We still had a blast!

Condo review

This condo was absolutely wonderful. It was very clean and relaxing. It had tons of amenities, and everything was in good working order. The condo had a gas fireplace in the living area and the master bedroom. Both had remotes. The front of the condo joined the ski slope and the back of the condo had a majestic view of the San Juan mountains. The lower level had a spacious garage and two bedrooms. There was a mud room off the garage. . Each bedroom had a separate full bath. Just a wonderful place to stay! We had so much fun! Not even one hitch! Highly recommend this condo!

Alpenglow 30 was exactly as described. It is well appointed and so comfortable. The kitchen has a great assortment of cookwear and is easy to cook in. We have stayed at various condo units up at Durango mountain Resort and this was THE BEST yet. Everything felt great and was great.

A wonderful rental over Christmas

We rented the townhome for the week between Christmas and New Years and it was perfect for our family of 6. The location was great for skiing, even though the snow was not as great! The kitchen was well stocked and allowed us to make most of our meals in. We appreciated having a gas grill on the deck. We also appreciated having a garage. It is a beautiful townhome and would recommend it to anyone. We hope to return again next winter.

Beautiful Spring Break Trip

My husband, adult children and I rented the Alpenglow Condo for Spring Break. We have been renting condos all over Colorado for 30 years and this was one of the nicest we have rented. It was new, clean, very atractive, spacious and ski in-ski-out. In particular, the value was very good for this high quality unit. The owner was very good about providing directions, instructions and other important information. We made sure we bought plenty of groceries from Durango, as there are no close stores and not a huge selection of restaurants. This was great, as we prefer cooking meals in the condo and enjoying family time after skiing. We hope to rent this unit again next spring.
