Magical Vacation Rental
Guys trip with some old college friends. Durango is awesome! Plenty of things to do and see. We had a great time hiking and then eating all kinds of great food and catching up. The property was immaculate and well furnished; the views spectacular. We enjoyed seeing the train in the mornings and there is a great Cafe just down the street that had great coffee. Oh and the hot springs just a mile away are a must do!

Great location with everything you need and more!
My family gathered in Durango and this home was perfect for all 7 of us. With the exception of no grab bars in the bathroom for my 93 year old mother-in-law to utilize the awesome showers, we highly recommend staying here!! Very close to Durango and on the way to Silverton, Ouray and more. Also close to Mesa Verde National Park. Lovely home and very comfortable.

First Time to Durango

Beautiful, clean, well-appointed home. We're looking forward to a return trip and we'll happily stay here again. The home is in a nice neighborhood, conveniently located to a market w/ fresh-baked goods, golf course w restaurant, and hot springs w/ spa. Quick trip to downtown Durango for e-bikes, Silverton train, restaurants, shopping and everything you need for fly-fishing.

Great family vacation rental

We enjoyed our 3-generation family vacation at Hermosa Haven. It was wonderful to have 3 king-sized beds. We used the covered back deck lots for our evening meals. Kitchen was large, living room was big enough for us all. Lots of games to play too (pool table, ping-pong table, hot tub). The grandkids spent a lot in the big backyard. It does back-up to the main highway (don't hear it inside though), but we did get to see lots of Durango-Silverton trains go by.

Fourth of July in Durango!!

We absolutely loved this home. It was so spacious with comfortable seating everywhere. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds so comfortable. The shower in the master bedroom is HUGE and the water pressure fantastic. Never wanted to leave. We enjoyed playing ping pong, soaking in the hot tub and watching the train go by each morning and afternoon. The neighborhood is quiet with a small grocery store close by. It was a quick 10 min drive to downtown Durango for anything you need. Absolutely loved our stay and will definitely go again!! Communication with the management company was super easy and they made the door code really easy to remember.

Beautiful home in gorgeous setting that meet our needs

We stayed here along with our kids and young grandkids and this was perfect as there was a room for everyone. While we couldn’t all sit at one table (there were ten of us), the kids were very happy to sit together at the kitchen island. We were out a lot doing activities (train, mining tour, Mess Verde, rafting and zip lining, and this was a very comfortable place to return to and relax. The adults especially loved sitting on the back porch drinking coffee in the morning, while the young girls loved waving to the train passengers (who waved back!). We would definitely come back here.

Loved the layout

VRC was very responsive with communication which was nice. The home layout was great and spacious. Location was great. 10 min to Durango, 20 to ski, 2 min to the hot springs. Views out the back were great. Beds were comfy. Would definitely stay here again.

Serenity
The house was beautiful. It’s located in a quaint neighborhood with views of the mountains. We enjoyed sitting on the back patio in the morning sipping coffee and warming ourselves up by the gas fireplace. The house is located close to many attractions, but our favorite thing to do was to cook dinner in the gorgeous kitchen and enjoy family time at the house itself.

Great place for large group

Our group of 8 had a wonderful stay! There was plenty of room for us. There were plenty of bathrooms. the sectional and seating in the living room was very comfortable and accomodated all of us nicely. The kitchen was nice and large and easy for all of us to work in. The house was extremely clean. The location was wonderful with Purgatory Ski Resort up the highway, Durango minutes away and the hot springs just down the street. Beautiful views out the back windows. We would definitely stay here again!

Purgatory ski & outdoor trip mostly North of Durango

Hermosa Haven is a very well stocked and well designed new home. It’s conveniently located off 550. 10 out of 10 would recommend and will definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.
- Location.... Location.. Location... people.
Seriously, easy to access and the best part is that you DON’T have to drive through Durango unless you want to. This was super convenient for us as all of our time was spent on the hill, or at places north of town and we don’t do condos. Although the house is close to the highway, it’s actually quite serene. We had plenty of kitchen gear and beds are comfy and kids loved the games outside and the bunk beds. This house doesn’t look it from the road, or front. But it is an extremely large house. Plenty of room for everyone without feeling cramped.
Times to places close to the house:
- Durango Hot Springs - 1 min
- PJ’s gourmet market - 1 min
- Honeyville - 2 mins.
- James ranch grill (which is awesome btw) 2 mins away.
- Purgatory 15 mins (and you can enter and exit the neighborhood without going through the light at Hemosa! So no traffic jam south ound at 3:30pm)
- Bears ranch 8 mins - THE Coolest sunset sleigh ride experience
We used the hot tub, but not the fire pit or grill. Everything worked here and the USB-C & A chargers in the plugs and the seats in the living room are a nice touch.

Perfect Christmas!

We stayed in Hermosa Haven during Christmas 2023, and it was the perfect home for our family of 12. It had everything we needed to prepare dinners, lots of fun things to keep family entertained, and ample space for everyone to enjoy! Christmas morning was awesome! We loved this home! Also, this is the absolute best location to enjoy skiing at Purgatory and spending time in the cute downtown Durango! Five stars from us!

This beautiful home with an open floor plan and high ceilings was beautifully decorated and the perfect size for 6 adults and 5 kids. The fireplace shared by the living area and Master Bedroom was a highlight. So many amenities.. a garage filled with table games, hot tub and firepit, large back porches.
The location was perfectly situated between Purgatory for the skiers and Durango for the shoppers, only a 15 minute drive each way. Loved the neighborhood and stunning view of the mountains.
Would highly recommend this home!

Beautiful home with all the necessities
This is the best vacation rental! It is setup with anything you will need for a great vacation. The house is beautiful with all the top of the line furniture and the most comfortable mattresses. The game room was a great place for the kids. We spent each evening eating and playing games on the covered back porch.
The house is in a great location with beautiful views of the mountains and centrally located for anything you want to see. We had a great time and would recommend this house to anyone wanting to stay in a perfect home away from home.

50th wedding anniversary family trip
We had a wonderful time in Durango, Colorado and this home was very comfortable for our family of 9. It is just outside of town and easy to run back and forth each day. Our family enjoyed the views from the back deck, the boys loved playing in the creek beside the home, relaxed in the Hot Tub about every day, and would recommend this to anyone wishing a quiet place to relax at night. Conveniently located to go to the places we wanted to visit.

Relaxation destinations!!

This house is by far the BEST rental we’ve ever stayed in. It offers so much to do within the home, it was just as fun hanging out playing pool, shuffle board & ping pong. The owners really thought about everything and every need when designing and furnishing this place. Very comfortable from the couch to the bedding.
The views of the mountains with their many beautiful colors and terrain were impressive. We enjoyed hiking the many trails close by.
I think the most important part was that with two teenagers, they wanted to “unplug” play games and connect.
We will definitely add this to our destination stay next time we’re in Durango.

2nd stay did not disappoint!

Our second trip to this beautiful home & driving through the mountainous Animas Valley, alive with fall color, was the beginning of another wonderful stay in the Durango area. The house is a well located home base. It is welcoming, comfortable, decorated with local pictures & wall hangings, fully equipped kitchen, great amenities & plenty of space for everyone to gather together or spread out. Great mountain views from everywhere. A daily treat is watching the Durango train go by. There are games in the garage for all ages. Outside there is a grill, a hot tub, a fire pit on the patio & one on the deck, great conversational areas inside & out. We’ve found this to be a great location to get the most out of our Durango vacations & look forward to returning.

This rental is a gem!!!
What a find! The pictures don’t do the house justice. The house is beautiful and EVERY ROOM HAS A VIEW OF THE MOUNTAINS!!!
We have a large family and pretty much only stay a VRBOs, and this is definitely the nicest we’ve stayed at. The house is absolutely gorgeous and decorated beautifully. The master bedroom is huge, beautifully decorated with a huge walk in closet, and beautiful bathroom. The furniture is very comfortable. The house was spotless, which is VERY important to us. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook with and has really beautiful dishes and silverware. Even the towels were very plush! I love natural light and this house did not disappoint, it has TONS of windows with phenomenal views, but we still had privacy with how the shades opened and allowed us to see the mountains. Cant say enough how I loved seeing the mountains in every room I walked in!! We loved coming back after whiteriver rafting or our trip to Mesa Verde national park and relaxing outside in the hot tub and my husband loved the grill.
One day we stayed in, my husband and I relaxed watching tv on these super comfy recliners ( which we are trying to find now, my husband loved them)but our kids enjoyed playing ping pong and the with the pool table.
Check in and out was very easy and the management company was really pleasant to deal with, we highly recommend this house. We are planning to come back next year!!!

This VRBO is as beautiful as Durango!!
Breathtaking from the moment you walk in. From the moment we opened the garage and saw the table games to coming in the door to a beautiful open floor space with modern, earthly decor, we were so excited! The amount of space in this place is AMAZING!!
Every room is so perfectly decorated and clean.
Our kids were able to spread out and have their own room and bathroom. That is a major plus!
The master suite is like a mini apartment (minus kitchen). It has a private restroom, walk in closet, living area, and beautiful king bed.
Waking each morning to the Durango/Silverton train at 9:30am was an added bonus. Loved it!!
The hot tub was such an awesome treat to enjoy each night and the back porch area was so nice to sit out on and listen to the small creek and nature watch.
I really can’t imagine anyone needing anything more.
We had all we could have ever wanted and so much more. The only thing that would make it better is actually living there!

Absolutely beautiful home!

The house was absolutely beautiful, clean, and everything we needed was provided! My mother-in-law and aunt enjoyed relaxing on the back porch while there was plenty to keep the older kids entertained with the pool table, shuffle board, ping pong, and the arcade games. And the hot tub was perfect for relaxing. The location is perfect, just a short drive to downtown Durango where we enjoyed, rafting, hiking, and shopping. James Ranch Grill and the Honeyville store are just minutes from the house and well worth going to! We also enjoyed Pagosa Springs, Silverton, and our absolute favorite...Ouray (pronounced U ray by the locals), the Switzerland of America! Absolutely stunning, a must see! We had a wonderful vacation.

This home is new and it is obvious that the owners put a lot of thought into decorating it and providing extras that make your stay enjoyable . If you want to cook at home, the kitchen is supplied with every small appliance imaginable and there is a gourmet market near by where you can stock up on essentials and also buy cinnamon rolls and deli items. If eating out is your thing, Durango is full of great restaurants. The views are outstanding.

A great location, a beautifully appointed home with everything you need & more, plus awesome views of the Animas Valley everywhere you look. We (3 couples) made use of the well equipped kitchen & the outdoor grill. The back deck with comfortable patio furniture & fire pit was definitely a place to gather. Who knew springtime in Durango could be so beautiful? Durango and it’s many attractions, great restaurants & shops is just 10 minutes away. The Hermosa Creek Grill (best breakfast), James Ranch Restaurant & Market, & the Gourmet Market & Wine are just a few minutes away; all have takeout. Dalton Ranch golf is just 5 minutes. TV’s, games, puzzles, entertainment, & hot tub all available before & after a day spent taking advantage of all that Durango has to offer. 275 Estancia Loop is definitely a home away from home & we will definitely return with more friends & family.
