Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath 1,280 square ft condo (Unit 405) in the Village Center building offers the ultimate convenience in winter or summer as it is located in the heart of Purgatory Village only steps from the primary high-speed lift to the top of the mountain, the Purgatory Express. Just like its namesake indicates, the Village Center is at the epicenter of the Durango Mountain Resort and Purgatory experience. There is no better location for your winter or summer adventures.
The condo is a corner residence offering great views of both the mountains and the ski slopes and is located on a single level on the 4th floor with elevator access and has two decks to enjoy the amazing views of the Needles Mountain Range, perhaps the most stunning and gorgeous array of 14,000 foot peaks in all of the Colorado Rockies.
The building features a hot tub on the roof with great views, a restaurant, 2 bars, an arcade, a slopeside deck, Purgatory’s ski school, the Purgatory childcare facility, 2 ski rental shops (one for high performance gear), and the resort’s premier shopping location, Purgatory Sports. With the deli right next door offering great sandwiches, breakfast, and light groceries, you truly won’t have to get in your car after you arrive. Note this condo does NOT have access to a ski locker.

The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club. When booking, just advise if you would like the extra 4% resort fee added.

Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.
Location, views, and comfort
Third time staying in this unit, and would rent it again. Location, views are the best. It’s convenient, comfortable, we just love it. Sometimes housekeeping could be better (maybe don’t trust that the guests before you know how to do dishes properly, etc). But, we love this place and would stay again. Firewood delivery is awesome, and rental management company is easy to work with and responsive.

Ski In/Out & Great Views!

We booked through VRBO because we wanted to know exactly what we were staying in. We wanted ski in/out and the views were a bonus. Can't beat the location! Nice unit with large dining area, living room, and deck. It was prepared and clean for our arrival. Sure it could some updating like most units at Purg (we've stayed at several) but you can't beat it for the price. We'll be back!

We had a wonderful week in this unit. The views are the best in the village. The pictures don't do the unit justice. We were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The washer and dryer were a huge plus. We used the fire place several nights. Looking forward to going back soon.

Great experience
Enjoyed the 4 nights here while skiing and snowboarding. This rental is VERY well-situated with great views of the village, the lifts and the mountain. Lift access was super close and easy, with 1 caveat...the elevators require room keys to operate and that system did not work well at all. Everyone had problems, including hotel staff! One of our party even had to call us from the elevator to help get him out. On the last night I discovered that after inserting your key card, if you pushed and flicked it away from you as you pulled it out, that usually worked.
Our unit was very well stocked and furnished, and the owner was rapidly responsive to the few issues we had. We found, on the morning of our departure, that we could not begin a washload of towels as requested by management, because the wash machine would not turn on.

We’ve been to Purgitory Resort five times as a family and this was my 10th time skiing Purgatory. This was by far the best trip. Our accommodations at Purgatory Village Center by Premier Vacation Rentals Group was superb. Everything was laid out perfectly beforehand. This is true ski in/Ski out. Great rental prices and service. We had everything we needed and never had to ask for more!!

Perfect Annual Vacation Rental

Great Views, Great Location, Great Condo

We chose condo 405 in the Village Center Building. It was fairly close to the elevator which took you down to the ski rental/slopes or up to the hot tub! It was easy ski in-ski out and was nicely furnished. We could call down and firewood would be delivered. It was very spacious and had a large deck off the living area and a small deck off one of the 2 king bedrooms. Views could not have been better! I would highly recommend this condo.

Perfect Location at Purgatory

We loved our stay at village center unit 405. Very spacious condo with two bedrooms, two full baths, washer/dryer, and large living space. The unit is a little older but there are lots of updates and all of the furniture is new and nice. This unit has EXCELLENT views and balconies overlooking both Purgatory Mountain and lifts as well as the Main Plaza. Kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook breakfasts and a couple of meals in our unit. Master bed mattress is very soft so if someone in your party prefers a firmer mattress they should probably plan to take the guest bed. We paid the additional fee to use the Purgatory Lodge pool/fitness room and felt it was well worth the $ (I think $40 total). There is a rooftop hot tub on the 6th floor of the Village Center building that was hardly ever in use.

Wonderful Location

Even at the end of the season we had a great time. We go to Durango because of the local people are wonderful people that enjoy sharing their piece of heaven. The Condo was awesome. You are actually looking down on to all the activity and everything is right beneath you. Bar on the second floor, Video game room, and walk right out to the slope. We never used the rooftop hot tube but the views were off the hook.. the heated pool and restaurant 2 minute walk. This is a must for parents who want to relax and let their kids enjoy the amenities of the lodge.

The location is incredible, a corner unit overlooking Purgatory ski area. The large windows and deck provide vista to watch ski/snowboarding, horse drawn sleighs in evening, and snow cats working the trails at night.

The condo was spacious and great! The railing is not up to code, I had to keep my kids off both of the balconies because my 3 year old could have easily slipped through the far spaced bars. One of the sinks was clogging up a bit off the master, just needs to be fixed by maintenance. There is a slope in the bed in the master, and I had to lay in the middle, that mattress may need to be replaced. We really enjoyed this condo as a family though, it had nice dishes and was great to cook in the kitchen. The location and views are totally worth staying here. Also, all the staff at purgatory were so nice, and Keith was wonderful and prompt in getting us into this place.

Great location in the Village ... There may not not be a better view at the resort except for the units above or below this one. Wonderful condo - felt like home. The only complaint we had - and not one for the property owner or manager to resolve is that the wifi coverage is spotty at best, and in most areas old fashion dial-up would've been faster. We'd rent the unit again in a heartbeat.

This condo was very comfortable and in the absolute best location with a great view of the slopes. Our stay was over New Year's Eve and we could watch the fireworks while staying warm inside. My only complaint was the very slow wifi in the building. I would love to stay here again.

As advertised
No surprises here. Quiet and clean, easily accessible. Stop in Durango for provisions for your stay. The pantry is stocked with seasonings and a few other odds & ends (like tuna well past its expiration date). Unit has two decks, one off the dining room and another off a bedroom that overlooks the ski lifts and runs. And there's a hot tub on the roof of this particular building as an added bonus. Durango and Silverton are both about 25 miles from the resort so this makes a great launching pad for your non-ski related adventures.
