Perfect Spring Break Ski Trip

The condo was the perfect location for a week long stay while skiing and other winter activities at Purgatory ski resort. The condo has everything you would ever want and was very well maintained. When we arrived it was well stocked and very clean. We have stayed at numerous slope side condos at Purgatory and this one is our new favorite. The rental company is by far the easiest we have ever worked with and makes sure that you are totally satisfied with your stay. We will definitely be using the Durango Vacation Rental Collective again when we return to Purgatory.

Cozy and convenient!
We loved our stay at Black Bear 59! The townhome is super cozy and VERY convenient to the resort. The best part is that the on-demand shuttle arrives in minutes and picks you up/drops you off at your front door.

Clean and Adorable Townhome

We can't say enough good things about this townhome. It was extremely clean, had a well stocked kitchen, plenty of dishes and cookware and was right across the street from Purgatory with great views. The rental company communicated clearly and often. It was perfect for my family and we would come back in a heartbeat. Wonderful time was had by all!

Great location!

Our family had a great time staying in this condo. The location was perfect for getting to the slopes. The condo was clean and well stocked. The internet was out for 4 of the 5 days we were there but that wasn’t the fault of those managing the rental, the entire complex was out. The microwave could stand to be replaced as you had to hold the door closed to get it to work. But other then that, it was well maintained. A piece of information not included in the rental info was that you are o my allowed 2 cars. One in the garage and one in the driveway. Any additional cars must be left at the overflow parking lot for the resort. There isn’t any on property extra parking spaces. Not a deal breaker, but we had 3 families with 3 cars. And while we were not happy about having to leave a car unattended in the overflow lot, it all turned out ok.

Wonderful stay!

Beautiful townhouse! We stayed with our friends and kids for a fun weekend and took the kids to the play express. The house had everything we needed plus so many fun things for the kids. It was clean and beautifully decorated. We took advantage of the pool and hot tub as well. Would highly recommend!

Awesome Mountain Condo

This condo is beautiful and looked exactly as expected. 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 3 separate outdoor spaces (patios). Even though we were there for a week (5 of us), enough supplies were left for us that we didn't even have to purchase paper towels, toilet paper, coffee filters, dish soap, dishwasher liquid, laundry detergent and dryer sheets - unbelievable! Condo is just across the street from Purgatory Resort so we enjoyed the pool, ski lift, slide, and coaster over there a couple days. Rode the train and went whitewater rafting - had a blast - condo was perfect for our needs and booking was effortless with Premier Vacation Rentals Group!! Highly recommend them and this condo!

We had a lovely stay! The cabin is beautiful and had everything we needed. Lots of soft cozy blankets, dishes, pots, pans etc. Absolutely loved hanging out on the deck and the kids enjoyed the ping pong table. We really liked that it backed up to the woods. Short walk to the lake. Would definitely stay here again!

Clean and beautiful home

Consistently clean
This 3bdrm 2.5 bath is beautifully furnished with pleasing art and decor, better linens towels, cookware and knives. It is right across the highway from the Purgatory entrance. We have stayed here for 3 years because it is always clean and well kept. The management is helpful. We will return next year to this place to hike, fish and explore higher mountains in a Jeep rental.

Beautiful Mountain Get Away
This townhome was clean and beautifully decorated. It even had lovely amenities like shampoo, conditioner and spa soap. We’ve stayed at many townhomes in this area and this is by far the nicest one! We will be back!!!

Quiet and Inviting with Everything We Needed

Great experience! This townhome is clean and well-stocked. We had a small problem with a malfunctioning appliance upon check-in, and the management company quickly resolved the issue, beyond our expectations. The location was perfect - close enough to walk to the ski area and trails, yet quiet and removed from the bustle of the resort. The beds were comfortable and the living area was inviting. We made good use of the well-stocked kitchen, enjoyed movies and board games, skied, hiked, and relaxed. Perfect for our family of four!

Loved it!
We visit Telluride every summer. This year, we decided to check out Purgatory, for 4 nights, and then drove to Telluride for a week. The home in Purgatory (black bear 59) was wonderful! It made our trip so much more fun and different this year. We enjoyed riding the mountain roller coaster at the resort and the scenic chair lift ride. Every night, we strolled down to the lake, which is very close. The deck was heavenly and we saw many hummingbirds. It's more affordable than Telluride, too. Very peaceful environment. Wonderful hiking and my husband enjoyed fly fishing, too. Our contact, Keith, was very responsive and helpful from the moment we booked. 5 stars with the exception of very dirty ceiling fan blades (my pet peeve with rentals). Overall, the home was very clean and we enjoyed our stay. We hope to return next year. Thank you!

Property exceeded our expectations. The views and amenities were exceptional. The property manager was very helpful. The only down side was check out at 10 seems a little early and I’ve never had to do the laundry before we left? Other than that I would recommend to all my friends and family!

We have used premier vacation rentals several times and will keep going back. The condo at black bear is perfect for us- spacious, well stocked, super comfortable, and getting to the ski slopes couldn't be more convenient using the shuttle bus. We love purgatory, we come up 2 or 3 times during the winter, and always look forward to the stay!

A Rocky Mountain High Getaway - An Escape from the AZ Heat!

This condo has it all; from picturesque views of the surrounding beauty to keeping the "little people" happy and entertained. Black Bear #59 was perfect for our Mother/Daughter and Grandkids getaway. The ping pong table was a huge hit for the entire group and the X-Box in the bunk bedroom kept the grandsons quiet and more than HAPPY! We also appreciated the set of small plastic dishes and bowls included for the "littles". This condo was definitely outfitted with children visitors in mind.
This location was perfect for easily reaching all of the destinations on our "to do" list.
The grandsons didn't want to leave this place and neither did the adults. Thank you for a memorable Rocky Mountain High vacation. We will be back!

Wonderful mountain get-a-way

This is our second time visiting the Purgatory area and we really loved this house. The beds were comfy, and we liked the 3-D movies and kids enjoyed playing the X-box after a long day outside rafting, fishing, hiking, exploring. It was very quiet here and lots of space for everyone to spread out. The weather was amazing for the 6 days we were there.
My oldest son fished at the catch and release twilight lake just a 5 minute walk away almost everyday. They also offer paddle boards and canoes at this lake in the summer, we did canoe one day which both boys really enjoyed. We loved rafting in Durango, summer activities at Purgatory, horse back riding at Bucks Livery, Gold Mining tour at Old Onehundred Mine in Silverton, and hiking the forest.

Black Bear Townhomes

This is the second time we have stayed at Black Bear. We like the location and having a garage to put dirt bikes in. The properties are clean and the layout is very nice. Have no complaints at all other than the fact that a lot of light bulbs seem to be burned out and there are no extras. This is very minor and over all I really love the place. Keith is very helpful and courteous. I called him on Sunday and he hooked us up with hot tub at DMR. He makes it seamless to stay there and gets things handled right away. Definitely will not stay anywhere but there when we come back.

Our stay at Black Bear 59 could not have been any better. The property is clean, comfortable and furnished perfectly. There were only four of us, but we had plenty of room. Almost anything can be made to look good in pictures on the internet, but the pictures do not do this townhome justice. We just loved it.

We stayed here for the Iron Horse Classic Bike Ride that my husband did. It was a great location for the ride because we were right in the middle of the course between Durango and Silverton. There is not much going on or many places to eat near the resort so we had to drive back and forth between the townhome and Durango quite a bit. It's about a 30 minute drive and it beautiful so it wasn't bad, just something we had to plan for. The house was in very nice condition and we had everything we needed! The 3rd loft style bedroom is very small and probably best suited for kids although we did put two adults in there. Leading up to our stay the number of peaoplencimjng with us changed and we needed a smaller place than what we originally booked. Keith was great to work with, very responsive and professional.

Thanks so much for your stay with us. During that time of year it's not winter anymore, and it's not quite summer, so we agree there is less activity in the resort area for that short shoulder season. That said, there are four restaurants open and right around that townhome, so I hope you were able to enjoy some of those during your stay. Some of the best food in town is within a couple of miles of that home. We're grateful for your visit, and we hope you'll come back again soon.

Everything was perfect. Communication was quick, price was fair, location was close and felt more private than actually staying on the mountain. There's a free shuttle to and from the slopes. It's a beautiful place that felt and looked like a home not a rental. Loved it!
Great Family Ski Getaway!!

My husband & I and our 10 yr old son felt right at home in this condo. The location is conveniently located adjacent to Purgatory Ski Resort. The free shuttle was wonderful. The furnishings are nice and they offer an XBox and movies and cozy throws and recliners to unwind at the end of the long day of ski and snow play. The resort manager responded quickly to all our calls and was always professional. We highly recommend this vacation rental!

Perfect Getaway
This townhome is well appointed and furnished nicely. We enjoyed all the amenities and loved being right at the resort. The on-demand shuttle was fast and convenient, and we loved not having to park at the ski area.
The open space with plenty of trails is right out the front door, and this location is quite sheltered from the highway, which is nice.
With this kitchen and groceries only a couple miles away, you don't need to leave! Also, for fine dining, Durango is a very short, beautiful drive.

The place was great. Very comfortable, well furnished and stocked with everything we needed. The propane grill on the patio was great for cooking steaks.
The Neflix account was great for watching movies with the kids in the evenings.
We were very impressed with the shuttle service. The wait was never more than 5 minutes and almost always had the bus/van to ourselves.
Garage was great for keeping the car and storing the ski gear.
We would definately stay here again.

Gorgeous townhome- pics don't do it justice!!! Didn't want to leave - loved it so much! Plenty of room for our family of 3, plus both grandmas! This condo is well done, well stocked and right in the middle of everything we like to do when in CO. Close to hiking fishing and great restaurants. Easy to go into Durango for the evening or up to silver ton for the day.

Clean, comfortable and convenient, we enjoyed our stay at this condo. The beds were nice and the linens were good. There was plenty of dishes, utensils and cooking implements. Check out the Purgatory Trail a five minute walk from the door, near the adjacent pond.

This town home is absolutely beautiful! Pictures look nice but don't make justice to the real thing. We were a family of 6 with three boys and we all felt right at home right away. The owner went above and beyond decorating this place. We had lots of space and everything we needed. I loved the mountains and views. Plus we were half way between Durango and Silverton and the drive up was so quick and easy to Rockwood. Thank you Mr. Keith for your suggestion of taking the train in Rockwood! We did!!! And it worked out great, saved us time to enjoyed dinner as a family. We saved one hour up and one down since it is a 6 hours roundtrip ride if you take the train from Durango. Thank you so much Mr. Keith!!! You were right in all your suggestions and very helpful to us. We will certainly come back. The only regret I have is not staying more days at your place. Durango area is so beautiful and your town home is ideal.
