Our 1,100 sq. ft. 2 Bdrm, 2 Bthrm Cascade Village condo (Unit 350) is the perfect all-season mountain escape! It features a full kitchen, wood fireplace, and a private deck with outdoor seating space and grill. Cascade Village is located less than 2 miles north of Purgatory Ski Area and 25 miles north of Durango. This nicely decorated unit has an open concept living plan with comfortable furnishings and linens all of which contribute to its warm atmosphere. Washer/dryer in the condo. Smart TV is set up for guests with Sling TV + guests can log into their own streaming apps like Netflix or Hulu. Both bedrooms have a desk and chair in case you have to work while you are away.

LOCATION AND AMENITIES: Cascade Village has amazing views of the Needles Mountains, is less than 2 miles north of Purgatory Ski Resort, 26 miles north of downtown Durango, and 25 miles south of Silverton. Free on-site amenities at Cascade include an indoor heated pool, sauna, outdoor/indoor hot tubs, pool table and game room, outdoor tennis court, ski rental shop (with discounts). It is also near the Nordic Center for cross-country skiing, and near numerous hiking trails, fishing creeks and jeeps trails. Many guests stay here to visit Purgatory Ski Resort, which offers a variety of restaurants, winter and summer activities, and festivals/events.
All of the Cascade Village units are equipped with reliable Fiber Optic internet service with an average internet speed of up to 50 Mbps and guests can stream their favorite movies and TV shows on their preferred provider (e.g. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime) using the smart TVs in the unit. With fast and reliable fiber optic WIFI, guests can stream on multiple devices. Cable TV is not available in any units at Cascade Village.
Due to HOA rules, the condo (and all condos in the building) is not pet friendly. Please do not bring your pets/emotional support animals. Also, trailers are not allowed.
Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.
Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years). Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.
Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

Great place to stay

Easy process for first time VRBO. Location was close to the slopes. Room was warm and accommodating. Stocked with games and full kitchen allowing a wide variety of meals to be prepared. Beds are extremely comfortable. Would recommend to all.

Solid stay in the mountains
Great location to purgatory and easy access to the San Juan range. Had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the summer. While it did get a bit warm inside, all the amenities were available to enjoy our stay.

A++++++ Property!

I’ve never seen a better equipped kitchen, including my own. Check-in was extraordinarily easy. The unit was exactly as described, and it was very clean. We had no problems, so I cannot rate how well they would handle problems. I just know that it was a very carefree rental for us, and we would definitely rent again. They have a DVD (maybe Blu-ray) player that was not listed in the amenities. Streaming was very good, no buffering. Because the kitchen is so well equipped, they don’t have much cabinet space for groceries. So we pulled out the TV trays in the downstairs bedroom closet, placing them right at the snack bar, and that made up for the deficit of cabinet space.
In short we were very pleased and have already recommended this place to friends.

Peaceful Mountain Getaway

We loved this location! Beautiful scenery and not the busyness like the nearby properties at Purgatory/Durango Mountain Resort. The scenery here and the solitude was just what we were looking for. Although the pool and hot tub were closed, our family enjoyed the tennis court and grassy field which had two small soccer goals. Great family time. We enjoyed hiking to the very nearby Spud Lake and summer activities at Purgatory. Property was clean and kitchen had everything we needed.

What a trip of a lifetime!!! Had the condo for 5 nights and it was perfect. Granted the altitude was high (over 8000 ft.) and the air was thin but it was tolerable. Location of Cascade Village was great too. Half way between Durango and Silverton gave us the opportunity to visit in all directions. Close to Mesa Verde also which everyone should visit. If you've got to "social distance" do so at this location. Highly recommend this location.
