"LHOP" is so inviting and has so many amenities, you won't want to leave! Nestled in the pines and on the lake, it is a true Northwoods experience. Views of the lake are to be had from nearly every room in the house. The lake with dock is just a gentle slope down from the house about 60 feet away. Sunrise happens over the lake, making coffee on the deck a must. Our kitchen is very well-stocked, making cooking or grilling enjoyable. In addition to foosball, cornhole and xbox, we have many board games and books to keep you entertained on a rainy day. Lots of places to connect with your family and friends - the main level open concept living area, the lower level rec room, the huge deck with multiple seating areas, around the firepit, or lakeside.

The Area: The Sugar Camp Chain consists of 5 lakes and is located centrally between Eagle River, St. Germain, Three Lakes, Minocqua and Lake Tomahawk with TONS of year-round recreation right out your door. Fishing, Boating, Hiking, Biking, Snowmobile and ATV Trails, Ice Fishing, Scenic Drives, Supper Clubs, Quaint Towns, Festivals, Golf, Fun Parks. There is parking at our home for your Snowmobile, ATV or Motorcycle trailer. Our home has easy access to trails. Sorry, no campers, RV's or tents. Sand Lake is known for northern pike, walleye, muskie, panfish and some bass, and is also the home of Pitlik's Bar and Restaurant. If you bring your own boat rather than rent ours, there is a public boat landing on Sand Lake. Abundant wildlife in our area like deer, eagles, otters, fox, bear, loons.
Optional Pontoon BOAT RENTAL for Additional Fee: We have a nice, comfortable 20' pontoon boat at our dock with a 50hp motor - great for cruising, fishing, or gently pulling a tube. Pitlik's is a great bar and restaurant that you can get to quickly on your boat - it is also on Sand Lake! The boat must be rented for the entire length of your stay - rental is $190 per day, or $1,000 for the week. It will have a full tank of gas when you arrive, and you will need to refill the tank before you depart (you can fill up at Pitlik's). Life jackets and tube provided. Guest will be required to sign a liability waiver. Let us know if you want to add the boat rental to your stay!
WIFI / CELL SERVICE: Cell service is good at our house and wifi is good for streaming and doing general laptop work. But wifi is not strong enough to download big files. Upgraded wifi coming soon. SUMMER DATES: From Memorial Day thru Labor Day, stays must be 5+ nights, with a Fri Sat or Sun after 4pm arrival. No date restrictions at other times of the year.
Cancel Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is due at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking.
