Our custom built 2,6000 square foot, 5 -bedroom, 3.5-bathroom home is newly updated and furnished. This classic log home is located in Hermosa Meadows, the residential neighborhood adjacent to Cascade Village, less than 2 miles north of Purgatory Resort and 26 miles from downtown Durango.
This is a rare opportunity to rent a newly updated luxury home yet have access to the free on-site amenities at Cascade Village including an indoor heated pool, sauna, outdoor/indoor hot tubs, pool table, outdoor tennis court, and ski rental shop (with discounts). The home is immediately adjacent to national forest land with hiking, cross country skiing, mountain biking, four wheeling, fly fishing and a host of other wilderness activities just out the back door.
This residence features a wrap-around deck with amazing views of the Needles Mountains, the signature range of 14,000-foot peaks the Purgatory area is known for, as well as Spud and Engineer Mountains.

Master Bedroom - King Bed with a TV and Ensuite Bath (Main Level-2nd floor)
2nd Bedroom - Queen with a TV (3rd level)
3rd Bedroom - Bunk Beds (Twin over Queen) (3rd Level)
4th Bedroom - Queen Bed (Ground Floor)
5th Bedroom - Queen Bed (Ground Floor)
Loft-Pullout Queen Sofa- (3rd level)
Please note, due to HOA regulations, this unit, and all of the units at Cascade Village, are NOT pet friendly.
Cascade Village is less than 2 miles north of Purgatory Resort, 26 miles (less than 30 minutes) north of Durango and 25 miles south of Silverton (less than 30 minutes). Free on-site amenities at Cascade Village including an indoor heated pool, sauna, outdoor/indoor hot tubs, pool table, outdoor tennis court, and ski rental shop (with discounts).
All of the Cascade Village units are equipped with reliable Fiber Optic internet service with an average internet speed of up to 50 Mbps and guests can stream their favorite movies and TV shows on their preferred provider (e.g. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime) using the smart TVs in the unit. With fast and reliable fiber optic WIFI, guests can stream on multiple devices. Cable TV is not available in any units at Cascade Village.
As with all properties in the area, the condo does not have AC. Given the day times highs are rarely above 80 while the lows are in the 40s. Open the windows after the sun is behind the mountains and close them in the morning along with the blinds that face west. This will keep the house plenty cool.
Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).
Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.
Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

A great spot to explore the San Juans

This was a great spot for our family to explore this beautiful stretch of Colorado. The large deck and beautiful views made our vacation enjoyable. The pool was a great hit with the kids.
The house wasn't perfect but the location was. We hope to be back next year!

Great Houses, Beautiful Location
The house was beautiful and the setting was exceptional. Be aware that it's three stories and the main floor is the second story, so there will be lots of stairs involved. The house was very clean though there were a few appliances that could use some upgrades (pretty standard for a rental). Would definitely rent again.

Great Mountain Home
The home was our base camp for 5 senior couples that traveled to Silverton, Ouray, Telluride, Mesa Verde and Durango. Clean, Very comfortable, great kitchen since we cooked in every evening. Wonderful stay !

Beautiful Home for a Large Family Gathering

From the moment we drove up and saw this beautiful home in it's serene setting we were grinning from ear to ear. The pictures don't lie. We had plenty of room for our 5 families and children. The wrap around porch was a delightful way to spend morning hours, reading time, and chat time...Close to all of the things we wanted to do. Purgatory Resort for Mountain Biking, Mountain Coaster, Alpine Slide, Lift to the top of the mountain, Go-Cart Track, and our grandkids loved the panning for surprises at the stream. We also enjoyed the Silverton 100 Year Mine Tour and Animas Forks Ghost Town, although pay attention to the 4 wheel drive and clearance recommendations. The Durango Steam Train was also a highlight of our trip. Buck's Livery provided an absolutely beautiful 1 hour ride. We absolutely loved our stay and would love to come back some day. We were a little disappointed the pool and hot tubs were not available due to COVID issues but that just couldn't be helped.

We had a great time and had our family of 13 all fit comfortably. We rafted the Animas one day, shopped in town on Main St., listened to live music at The Nugget 5 min away, did different nearby hikes every day, grilled on the deck, played tennis at Cascade Village - so much fun for everyone!
Great location with great hikes in walking distance and so many waterfalls and creeks to see within a 5 minute drive. The house backs up to a meadow with wildlife to watch. There are incredible unobstructed views from every window and with a wraparound deck. It’s less than 2 miles from Purgatory, can’t wait to come back and ski!
The house is beautifully decorated. You can tell is it newly remodeled with brand new furniture and incredibly comfortable beds in all 5 bedrooms. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need and even had games and a Wii that we played in the evening.
The rental staff was great, provided us with everything we needed ahead of time. We didn’t have any issues during our stay so we honestly didn’t need to contact them once we arrived.
