Our family had a wonderful time in Durango, Colorado. One of the highlights was the cabin we stayed in. It was perfect for our family. The property was first class through and through. Very clean and modern. It had everything we needed for the week. We definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place to escape the busy life and slow down to enjoy the view. The management team was very responsive and accessible. Five stars all the way around.
First off, this is my 5th rental using HomeAway. All have been just great! This was no exception!
I first want to say that Vacation Rental Collective is great to work with! Patient, Professional and Quick to reply! They had several properties that I went back and forth with them on and I cannot say enough about the service! I sent emails, texts, and phone calls, and they all were answered quickly!
We rented this unit with another family, 8 of us, 2 couples, both with 2 boys each, aging 10 to 15 years old. The unit was better than expected ! We decided we needed 3 baths with the 8 of us and this place fit the bill for budget and needs! We stayed 7 nights. VRC lined us out with all paperwork, instructions, etc. Everything went down without a hitch!!
The unit is well appointed, roomy enough and fit the 8 of us very well. I have been to the area of Durango/Silverton and Ouray several times. Always enjoy going back and that part of the vacation also went well and weather cooperated with us.
We first were going to do a condo across the street at the Resort with VRC but then looked over his other properties. This unit is across the street from the Resort and the area was very quiet. You get a 2 car garage so parking is not a problem! I have stayed on upper floors before and even at high altitudes rooms get hot. This place has ceiling fans in all rooms! It almost 9000 feet and cools off nicely for sleeping. No problem even during the day!
If I were a skier and not wanting to be in the thick of things but close to the slopes along with covered parking, this would be a great place to grab!
The Master Bedroom is roomy with gas fireplace, walk in closet, and a very nice bath!!
The boys fished the lake just down the street and we got the passes from Keith for the Lodge at the Resort for the Pool, Hot Tub and Gym. There is a small store with gas down 550 a couple miles for quick items and surprised the gas was cheap considering the area.
Both families had no complaints! Coming back to this area, the first call goes to Vacation Rental Collective!!

Thank you Vacation Rental Collective. I just got back from the snowbike festival at the resort and this was a nice quiet place to rest after a hard day of riding on the mountain. We were able to cook our own meals, watch movies which we downloaded from netflix using the wifi, and relax in a beautiful home away from home. This is a very nice place and we comfortably slept 6 of us. The pullout sofa’s were the most comfortable I have ever slept on. Like a full mattress. Very comfortable, quiet and clean vacation spot. I would highly recommend this place for your next vacation to the Durango area for all seasons.
We all really loved the townhome. Everything is quite lovely and was a perfect accommodation for our family. We’ve stayed in many mountain rentals and this one ranked way up there. We would love to rent this townhome again! You handled everything very well. Thank you!
It’s unusual to find a vacation home of this quality – the craftsmanship, amenities, decor, features. The three-level home provides privacy for everyone, as well as welcoming community spaces with seating for all and flat-screen TVs. For those who like to cook, a beautifully outfitted chef’s kitchen awaits.Less than a mile from the Purgatory ski area, a stone’s throw from hiking and biking trails, close to Engineer Mountain (for those who like to climb) – the location seems to be one for all seasons. We spent a snowy Thanksgiving at the property and are looking forward to coming back this summer. Kudos to the owners and management!
The townhouse was amazing….the views and everything were just as you had stated…..We loved the house so much! We appreciated that even though we arrived later after the office closed we were still able to take our excited kids swimming because you had picked up and left pool keys for us! The location at the back of the drive is wonderfully private and quiet. The house was well kept and the beds comfortable—felt like a real home! We will definitely book with you again when visiting the area. Thank you so much! We loved the hot tubs and the kids really loved the indoor pool. The location is perfect only about 30 minutes from both Durango or Silverton…..the HUGE windows that open create a wonderful breeze and you can definitely smell the pine trees! We saw deer, chipmunks and more right out the windows! Thank you for sharing your great home with our family—-we will be back!
